“Securing a Prosperous Himalayan Future” consultation workshop held in Guwahati on 21 April 2026.
The consultation emphasized the need for collaborative, inclusive, and region-specific approaches to development, particularly in the context of biodiversity, forest, climate change, ecological fragility, and socio-economic transitions.
Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on sustainable livelihoods, agriculture, youth engagement, women's role, ecosystem and also highlighted the importance of strengthening community engagement. By fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange, the workshop aimed to identify practical, scalable solutions and build partnerships that can contribute to a resilient, equitable, and prosperous future for the Himalayas.
